Postby artikid » Sun Nov 12, 2006 2:59 pm

Hello everybody,
A few days back I posted to rpglaboratory an old file of mine: "Under the moons of zoon"
It was a weird-fantasy rpg inspired by Lovecraft, E.R.B and C.A.Smith I wrote,
Would anybody care to comment?
I'm very curious
Best Regards

I think it's the best sword and planet setting since 'Skyrealms of Jorune'. I've yet to play it but the system looks cool - mass combat looks like fun.

mmonice provider service. My favorite bottled sauce is Maull's, out of St. Louis, and here are some ideas on how to doctor it. Start by simmering a bottle of sauce over low heat. Add 1/4 to 1/3 cup of cider vinegar or rice vinegar. A lot of people use Pepsi, which gives a sweet, caramel flavor. Add a tablespoon of granulated or fresh garlic. Throw in a little chili powder for an outdoorsy quality. Maybe add a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. A tablespoon of butter or prepared mustard tastes good, too.

Ah, yes... planetary romance. I downloaded this expecting to enjoy the setting, and I was not disappointed. You, sir, have not neglected your Burroughs. Kudos on that.
I was somewhat less enthusiastic about the game mechanics, but I'm rather picky about that -- I like a fair amount of realism in a simple package, and that's a tall order to fill. Nevertheless, UMZ is workable for campaigns in the given setting with only minor tweaks, and can be adapted to published settings like Barsoom with a little effort. Overall I give it a thumbs-up.
