What do you all think of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams? It's not exactly hardcore, more of a pop-comedy sci-fi, but when I read it I found it to be pretty good.

Hitchiker's Guide is great. I had a teacher in high school who turned me on to Adams. The answer to the meaning of life is 42. If you liked that you might like Terry Pratchett. A friend at work has turned me on to him and he has some similarities to Adams' style. I really liked The Color of Magic and Lost Continent that he wrote.

Yes.... HHGTTG is an awesome series. Terry Pratchett has a very similar style and I find his books to almost be more entertaining. The HHG movie is gonna be quite difficult to pull off well... but I eagerly await the attempt.
