Postby kumakami » Sat Jan 07, 2012 12:39 am

here is a little fun thing i just did..thought you monkeys might enjoy. Here is the game

1) pick three words....find the one you can spell with the elemental table..(see example at the end)

2) read the elements you have used, take the first game consept that comes to mind.

3) find a random quote that works with the game idea you have.

4) using a SIMPLE paint program, make you games cover.....

5) show us all

I wanted to do the word "Siege" but there is no "E" element. E just stands for... eeeerrr... extasy. But there are elements yet to be discovered, so SiEGe = Silicon + ? + Germanium. It could be a game about World War computers, but that's boring, so ladies and gentlemen, I give you...

Confession: I had a lot of "re" words, so I had to come up with more than three.

It's a pity that the most widely used vowel is missing.

I wanted to mix Calcium + Rhenium + Beryllium + Argon + Sulfur to get CaReBeArS but couldn't think of a good quote to fit with it.

The thing with this game is that all these elements ring different bells on different levels (if you're not a chemist). There are common ones (ones you actually know about), like gold, silver, plutonium, sulfur etc. You automatically associate to their nature and features (expensive - shiny - dangerous). But in case of most elements, you only see their name - rubidium? scandium? technetium?, so the name is the source of your thought.
