Young Gods of Old Egypt

Postby Simon W » Sun Dec 05, 2004 8:59 am

Hey, I just looked through this game and I like what I see. I haven't had chance to generate characters yet but it doesn't look too difficult. I am thinking of giving it a go, but setting it in the present day, rather then in old Egypt (the default setting). I envisage it as something like a cross between Chaosium's Nephilim, FFG's Fireborn and Matt Machell's Lost Gods.
If I get to run it, between playtests of my own Dreamscape and 1940-England Invaded! then I'll post more here.

I, too, really like this game. The one change that I would make is to use the original Kemetic names (the familiar names for the Egyptian gods, and even the word Egypt itself, are actually Greek). Some examples below with the Kemetic first followed by the familar Greek.

Anpu = Anubis
Apep = Apophis
Aset = Isis
Heru = Horus
Het-heru = Hathor
Kemet = Egypt
Usire = Osiris
