I like the idea of partitioning time, I'm going to try that. Some might think it's obvious but I probably would not have done it had you not mentioned it! :)

It is eerie how similar to my concept this is; both involve beings with godlike power in a post-holocaust setting! BP is more complete than Apotheosis Blues, though.
