(Entry) Judgement Nigh

Postby casperlions » Fri Mar 10, 2006 11:29 pm

This is my first attempt as a upcoming new challenger in the Iron Game Chef Tournament. For such an important, formative moment on myself as an amateur (hey, you have to be to compete in the Olympics!) game designer I will be preparing a rich single course meal, devilishly delightful in that "desert for dinner" way.

Time Range: 1 session of 2 hours
Package: 1
-Committee
-Glass
-Emotion

Game Name: Judgement Nigh
Concept: The Executive Committee submits proposals to the President for the survival of the human race during an impending disaster. During this proposal period their secret biases and prejudices will be revealed and turned against them, and in the end their proffesionalism and emotional content will be what allows them to survive the consequences of their decisions or not.

I'm Mr "hey we don't need any randomizers or calculations" freeform storyteller, and so to bring out the best and worst in myself I'v, suprising even myself, gone gamist, or something to that effect, in this the idea that immediately struck me as I veiwed the two lists of ingredients and chose my three.

Very interesting! Any thoughts to how "Emotion" or "Professionalism" will be measured, or how the final results will be determined?

Otherwise, wow, I wish I could think of ideas that fast! MUSES HEAR ME!!!!
I'm here to chew bubblegum and win the Game Chef prize. And I'm all out of gum.

My attempt at making this game resulted in it becoming a game about the formation of the issues platform for a new political party and it became a beast that I didn't like very much and I'm not having fun anymore so I'm taking my bat and my ball and I'm going home.

I'm out.

I'v got an article I need to write for RPG.net before the end of next month anyways.
