Cool. A few thoughts:

Will there be a play and role pre-set for the game
or a few plays to choose from
or players decide on the play & roles at the start of the game?

Is the semi-post-apocalyptic setting significant rules wise or just an evocative backdrop?

I explicitly want this game to be very develop in play, so in terms of roles in the plays, even the plays being performed, I want players to add those facts in play, and reward them with Steel for doing so.

I'm looking at a pretty rigid scene structure, in terms of travel, arrival, performance, departure. I'm especially interested in the performance scenes, because I want them to happen backstage, so characters leave the table's on-stage to go on stage in the play.

The whole aim of the game is to confront the Producer and get whatever it is that you want, be it a different casting, different plays, to leave the company, whatever. But by confronting the Producer before time, you personally win.

In terms of team play, everyone needs to be pitching in to make the productions run. There's more than enough work (as a game convention) for everyone, and everyone has to be working double jobs to keep everything going. But ultimately I do want to set characters against each other - there needs to be some of the incestuous family arguments for it to work as a theatre troupe.

As far as the setting, there's a lot to why I chose it. Partially it's an homage to Winterlong, which was a series of lovely-creepy scifi I've loved for a while now. But specifically, it gives a good background in which to set a bunch of interesting enclaves to visit, it gives a reason why people don't travel much, which makes the Actors special.
