Why the move?

Postby Rob Lang » Thu May 05, 2005 1:15 am

Was just wondering why the Chef event has moved from the Forge. Idle curiosity at its best!

I have no idea for the real reasons, but I can see value in it being here.

I have had a look at the forge for the alst bunch of games, and frankly it is nearly impossible for a new person to figure out what the heck is going on there. How do I find one of the games?

Here the nice people at 1km1kt are kind enough to host the various games in a simple, easy to locate format, with nothing so much as a thankyou for their support.

That's my guess, anyhow.

Yea, Seadog Tuxedo!

I mean, er... I.... also hope that we can continue the high commitment to quality, innovation, and progressive game design in the Iron Game Chef contest, now that it's moved from the Forge. The fact that at least 2 of last years games should see publication at Gen Con (Mountain Witch and Polaris) shows just how serious people have taken it in the past. I mean, you could just go ahead and make a neat-but-mostly-forgettable game, but why bother, y'know? If you're going to design a game in a week, at least make it something interesting.

Just my $0.02
