I like the color balance and the clearness of the layout. Although it will look great on my desktop, my laptop has a small screen and I would half expect to see the header bar, the planet and half of the Icar name. The effect might be a little odd.

@Onix, good call on the sizing of the layout - the design will be responsive so will change depending on how big your screen is (including mobile, netbooks and tablets). This first page will really be there for getting people to download the rules. Once they have that, they are likely to explore and download more.
