Infographic - how to spend the time remaining

You've decided to enter the Cyberpunk Revival Competition and you're frothing with ideas. But when should you start actually writing stuff down? What steps should you take? Here's an infographic describing one possible way of getting to your goal.

To use, pick the date you started (or February the 1st) and start at the bottom of the graph, then follow the nearest colour and each time you cross a horizontal line, you need to be doing that activity. The later you start, the redder the colour and if you start really late, you need to go like the clappers.

You forgot to add the straight vertical line for those who are treating this like the 24 hour project.

Of course, if you do that and win, it may be necessary to pencil in some time afterward for leaving the country. The contestants who took the longer route might not be amused...

Just kidding of course - its a wonderful community. .

Even without that footnote, its a good aid.

There's something missing from the infographic. You need to work in the time two weeks before the end where you think of something better, throw out everything you've got and start over.

Just kidding (I hope), but it's possible to do. I've built a 30-page game design contest entry in 9 days. If a complete dump and restart will make a better game, then you better believe I'll do it.

I am glad this has been of some use. Of course, I don't always what I . The graph came out of years of getting it wrong! This is more like what I do...

Nothing in the rules says you can't have multiple submissions...

[Purple Tentacle drank water from a polluted river, and has transformed into an insane criminal genius who wants to conquer the world]
Dr. Fred: Our only hope now is to turn off my Sludge-O-Matic machine and prevent the toxic mutagen from entering the river!
Bernard: Isn't it a little late for that, Doctor?
Dr. Fred: Of course! That's why I'll have to do it... yesterday! To the time machine!
