I will participate

Is there a preferred system to use, does it matter, do we have to use a new / our own or use one that is existing?

I've decided to allow any system that you wish. It would have been great to have all submissions under one system. However I thought it may stifle creativity.

I'm looking for Volunteers for judging, anyone interested? I think i'll press my two player from my game group. One's a University lecturer in english, the other a lawyer [I'm the thickest person i know :)]

Rule 7 needs to be struck off, it does need to be a complete, playable setting. Not standalone game.

I've been press ganged into judging. I'll set up a forum for the judges (the other two judges will need accounts on 1km1kt, too).

You had my attention other than rule #2. No offence but that just screams personal glorification. If not, it has absolutely no relevance to anyone other than those who are insiders. I don't see the benefit in naming anyone X if it doesn't fit.

Good luck with your contest.

#2 is fine with me. I mean come on now, we get to play in his toybox, we should honor him and that is easy enough.

Got 15 pages of outline and some rules down on paper. Stripping way down a stock system and putting a touch to it.

Mark- Since you are new I can see why don't get it. Keeton is the guy who owns the 1KM1KT site. We put that rule into allot of our Compo. just to poke fun of the guy. In the end its no more hard to make a NPC named Bob, Mary, or any other name.

As for the compo.....I think since the due dates in Jun I may have to try this...
Time Fly's like an arrow! Fruit Fly's like a banana!

Thanks. Makes a lot more sense now. From an outsiders perspective it just seemed rather ad hoc. Thanks for the clarification.
