Liking the flood themes... here's a thought

Flood themes are great - populations pushed together because areas of the world have flooded. Like it. Of course, flooding can be further made worse by the creation of dams. In the 30s, a German Scientist put a plan together to damn . It would have been a massive engineering project and provided power for all of europe. It would also have raised the depth of the Med sea by 600 feet!

Perhaps the near future requirement for power and depletion of oil might need other big rivers to be dammed. The Nile? The Yangzee? The Hudson? Take the largest river near you and damn it then raise it by 200m and see what affect that has on your landscape! :)
