Cyber Project-X...just wip now

I will start with my stats and go from there.

I start with what Cyberpunk is all about.. IMHO.

When its all said and done all most people want is...

Money If I have to tell you what this can do, you haven't been watching the news for the last two years.

Power This covers the ability to influence others to your own agenda, thru means such as negotation, barter, haggle, fast talking,or just out right force.

Respect this covers your street cred, etiquette,savoir-faire,diplomancy,ect. how much others view your influence and treat you with politness.

Cyberware gives you str, dex, ect type stuff. or else your just another meatshield for the cyberwarriors.

The amount of cyber a person has affects his composure, how well they are adjusted to the fact they have no legs just some mechanical device that looks like legs.

skills are written in the x/y format. with X being the skill level and Y being the level of renown that skill has brought that character.

With Wifi, BlueTooth and what ever else they come up with next (I just read about wifi being operated through light instead of radio and they sent a gig back and forth in just a second or too) I wonder what you think of "web apps"? How much programming/hacking/ect can be augmented with "web apps" instead of cyber implants? Is this something your considering? Also, with nanotech what about implanted cyber that really isn't seen on the outside of the body (as in you look like an unaltered human from the outside)?

Food for thought. I hope your development continues....

well my computer stats are :
search engine: what you use to search, and do basic things in the net.

Intrusion: your hacking and attack str, ect.

Security: defense and counters.

web apps will be used, as well a on the fly programming.

Cyberware put a considerable strain on the human body and resources and the reciepients frequently suffered physical and mental issues. most have a form of ptsd. so an Hungarian researcher invented a process called LACE, Light Augmented cyber etching. This creates a pattern of Blue neon etching on the skin. due to the nano conflicts a person can have only two lace tracks, but there are three levels for each track. the levels help dictate how much ware his bionano system can support.

LACE sounds very cool...in fact I need to stop reading before an idea I read on these boards "accidentally" makes it into my own game...

This is sounding very cool. Let's hear something about your world. What sordid version of the future will you be looking into?

well the main reason the coprs took over is cuz of a pandemic, and the need to keep info and the workers going, they created nano bots, trillions of them so now they are a part of life. with 65% of the global pop. all dead and bout 30% of whats left holding up in giant arcologies scattered like great walled cities of old europa.at first the few remaining governments fought for the scraps during the seven years it took for the planet to limp along during the death throws of the long fall.
then slowly coprs took over as suppliers of food then safety and more and more workers became fiercely loyal to the coprs they formed huge cities mostly build near the factories. the ones who could make it to the factories were welcomed as valuable workers to feed the corprate machine. each board of directors trying to establish rule. These cities fight for key personel and infomation secrets. And as whole scale war is bad for business they duke it out in the back alleys and corprate board rooms.

the world has a bleak, end of days feel. bleak and deadly. those who control do so with little compasion except for there bottom line and comfort.

this is what I have worked out so far....

Nano and web is keyed to the RFID tags that are now built into everything, only old tech doesnt have it. Rfid's allow nano magic to work.

It's base is A.C.Clarke's great axiom; Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Clarke's Law explains the source of our amazement as our limitation, rather than the impossibility of the technology.the basic controlling factor is intent and Lace Level. what the mind can comprehend the Nano will try to achive.

Thinkineg how slums now ring most city states, an area now know as the outer baronies, a place were street lords rule.
