Disgenesia (Cyberpunk entry)

Postby maledictus » Sat Feb 06, 2010 12:04 pm

Life in the Mega-Complex seems perfect. Everyone is treated by eugenics, everyone is beautiful, strong and smart. So it looks like.

The Mega-Complex is an enormous metropoli, divided in two sections. In the upper levels of the city lives the rich, politicians and businessman. They have everything they'll ever need in their perfect life. In the lower levels lives those who doesn't have the money to do genetic therapy on their children. This is a dangerous zone, filled with gangs and drug dealers. And below all this lives the ugly mutants, rejected by the vain humanity.

Players are going to be mutants, doing the dirty jobs for the corporations. Instead of having cybernetic implants, they'll have mutations that give them special abilities, and also deformities (three eyes, fur, tail, horns and that kind of stuff), that make them be cast out by the "perfect" humans.

It would be a more bio-punk setting, with uplifted animals and a stem stew, capable of become every living being (made to solve the food problem, but used to fabricate clones and evil things). But also would have some cyber elements, like the neuralnet, a wireless internet plugged in your brain.

This is the first time I'm going to write something very large in a lenguage other than spanish  Let Bebelfish be my guide.

Welcome aboard, Maledictus, and good luck from another non-native English writer! ^_^ Remember: good ideas will shine through regardless of your language skills.

Especially if you use instead of Babelfish. >8P

Thanks everyone for the welcome.

I've been working in other things, so in the last days I wasn't able to write a lot.

Disgenesia would use my . The problem is that it's in spanish, so I will put a chapter with the rules. I'm going to summarize the four rules chapters into one. This doesn't mean it won't be complete. Actually, I like more the short rules from Disgenesia than those from my other game.

I've been having a few problems to translate some game terms, but hopefuly it will be fully understandable.

In further post I will put more about the progress in Disgenesia and the role of Keeton, or shall I say the Keeton clones?.
