I am done. My game, inspired by A Clockwork Orange and The Sound of Music is called The Droog Family Songbook. I think it hits key themes and plot points of both films, but you all be the judge. It even involves a character called Keeton. I had a blast and am very happy with the result. You can get the game at my website:

I started the 24hr Movie mashup on Tuesday. Here I am 24hrs later with an incomplete game! I thought I'd upload it anyway.

I'm so frustrated that I never organised my time better! I shouldn't have taken such a long sleep.
I also have an exam on Thursday, so I really should've waited until the summer to do this!

I got carried away with the least interesting bit: Mechanics and never left enough time for setting/adventure/everything else

Too bad you didn't finished for the competition.

Perhaps the setting part should be the first one, before character creation, this way players will know what kind of characters they should make.

I think I should've some of the setting info in the intro, then hit the bulk of the setting later.

I was going to dive in and forgot it was the start of June as a closing date.

and Nathan's done a far better job than I was going to!

I told my wife that I would do another of these, come hell or high water.

High water happened (house being gutted due to burst pipe).

Ah well, I guess I'll just do my 24hr Maltese Falcon/Dawn of the Dead mashup outside of the competition.

Hey, I would like to see a Maltese Falcon / Dawn of the Dead mashup! Keep us posted on how that goes. And I hope you didn't lose too many precious gaming books in your water pipe disaster.

Game books were (thankfully) not in the basement. I only lost a handfull of 5yo White Dwarf mags (since I don't do minis anymore, no big loss).

Once life gets back to normal-ish, I will do this mashup in the proper 24-hour style.
