Bit of an update - I have been going great guns on the new vehicle models and have nearly finished. I've only got surfacing on the new Cobra (I likey much) and to make the Bull (a utility vehicle). The Bull should be easy because I've got all the drawings in my notebook for that. Always easier to go from a sketch.

After that, I will be resurfacing Byrn's models (he's a great modeller but self-proclaimed surfacing-hater). They won't take long because I use a lot of stock pieces these days.

Then some resurfacing/rendering of space craft and I'll be uploading the new high-res equipment index for version 4. Yay! I'll get back to the core rules after that.

I'm going great guns with the space craft, I finished the Blackwater yesterday (looks much the same as the original). Crowthorne is next, then Cyclone and Tornado. The Cyclone will have a little work done to it but I'm happy with the Tornado model, so it won't get updated.

Then it's surfacing Byrn's Burntek weapons - which I have a good idea what they might look like, so should not be hard. :)

I thought you had decided to add more settings other than scavenger.

Are you still going to do that? maybe as supplements?

Of course now that it's open, you can just add a page to the Icar website that links to fan settings.

Mainly asking because the to do list makes me think a "Cops and Robbers" setting would be a nice cross with space opera.

If your dream of becoming a published sci-fi author / game designer thingie ever comes true you can take some of them with you like the guy who started Orion's Arm.

I think a Cop and Robber sourcebook would be nice add on to the Scav Setting

Just like I like to see a Fleet Book

SheikhJahbooty, we did try cops and robbers but the players found it a little too constricting playing the cops. Not being able to break the law was tough. I have a few half-written setting books:

1. Fleet
Battle Droids, bring down orbital bombardments and blow stuff up with some of the most ridiculous technology you'll find. Bionics, power armour and the most powerful weapons in the game. This is probably what I'll be running next, so the sourcebook will be a good playtest.

2. Expeditionary
Cross the light jump net to pick amongst the ruins of a human civilisation overrun by Droids. Employed by the Benedict Corporation, try and stay alive in Droid space while bringing bad booty to sell.

3. Streetpunk
Play in the Nearground of a single city and planet - forgotten and ignored by the rest of society those Neargrounders live cheap, get tangled up in crime and die young. It's all about the thrill, man. Includes a drugs system.

Now Rob will the Fleet book talk about how the fleet is set up, division, roles etc?? Also will it have ICAR Skeletons for Ship Officers, Navy Enlisted, Pilots, and Marines?

Law Enforcement, while not fun for players does give the GM some view of what Cops can bring, especially for those who are experienced at running law enforcement options.

The Fleet book will be in two sections. The first will have a detailed description of its inner workings and the second section will look at Fleet Troopers - as they are the characters most people would like to play.

How about a new section on how to make friends and fool them into playing RPGs? Perhaps various formulas for making the first "RPG drug", or guidelines on how to make your friends think they are watching a football game and then realize they are rolling dice?

Or, what IF the game came with a little birth certificate with its own name and date of birth so that you can raise it as if it was your own?

ok j/k... I'm just admitting I have no friends is all.. :D

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
