odd tech question

Instead you could just not justify it and say IT IS, OK? You're not actually going to try and build this computer, are you?

I don't think more channels is going to solve the problem. What you have is a lack of finesse. You might want to take a look at the early modem standards and how they encoded data. There is a band called Information Society that used to record a 300 baud, 8, N, 1 terminal transmission of secret messages that you could play back to a modem in wait mode to decode. Also for a more modern example of tackling data transmission over audio frequencies, take a look at HAM Radio. There's a tool call fldigi that serves as a software emulated data modem for HAM use.

You can play around with this by setting up two computers in the room with the software and a speaker/microphone combination.

ok so if we can assume that faster read speed was there answer... then 548,640 millimeter per second is 1.097280 MHz. For those who do not trancelate metric well thats 1800feet a sec. or 21,600 inchs a sec.

thats not as bad as I would have guessed. not even close to a mile and hour speed. hmmmmmm.
