Well, I don't think Hall or Randel El (my player that I drafted for a return pt. bonus) are specialists. They are dualists- doing part of both responsibilites but neither terribly well. Still, they will still get points from their playing on special teams- just not as much as they have been getting. They can still be valuable- but not overvalued.

And, if you agree with the concept but are unhappy you wasted a draft, I am sure we can convince Wayne to let you drop Hall and pick someone else up and get your waiver wire slot back.

The only problem with changing any points value now is that it not only changes future games, it also changes previous games which could change the results of previous games. Plus you run into the fact that many people have used trade and waiver selections to pick people up as soon as they saw the trend which would leave them with players that are not as useful and a waste of multiple waiver picks.

I will take your suggestions under advisement and consider them, but my current leaning is to not make any changes.

I still feel it is a loophole exp[olited by a few teams. Just like in any other game- if certain teams gain an advantage from a clear mess-up- things should be addressed. Yes, everyone had a chance to get the return-speacilaists- but that does not invalidate my points (which is also a good argument as to why the rules change would impact everyone equally- everyone had a chance to pick them up and the ones that did should have realized or brought up the point a lot earlier). Returners are simply overvalued and should be corrected.

I just feel rotten that instead of people bringing this up earlier- it took 4 weeks into the season, and multiple (quiet) pickups... before this was even brought up. This isn't like finding a player that normally plays DB that ends up getting some RB chances- this is plain and simply a mess-up in the ways the rules work.

However, it seems like most team owners are lukewarm to the idea of changing the point values- and I can understand why. I will stick with the majority of opinion... and since I am the only one really strongly in favor of the change, I think it should stay the way it is (grumble, grumble).
