Tirade games, a joke to far

Postby kumakami » Mon Apr 09, 2012 3:30 pm

I like humor, I tend to make a fair number of jokes (some of which are funny). One thing I love is when a bad joke is taken seriously and continued to a logical point.

EX: most people joke about the tv show "the smurfs" being about comunism.

so if one where to take this and keep going....

(Everything's SMURFY! a game about life in the Villege, remember PAPA smurf love you, PAPA smurf is watch you!)

what jokes would you love to run with?

An "Official" Monty Python Game, including detailed combat mechanics for how to defend yourself from an opponent wielding raspberries.

A mystery game where you hunt for the elusive Kilroy.
Games of imagination are never truly done. Yet tomorrow we shall start another one.

my new RPG blog.

Um ... you've just described the last game I published.

Like published as in a month ago.
I also do which isn't much, but it's enough for me.

My favourite in-joke (with myself) is that all the 1KM1KT moderators on the forum are really just me posting like mad to keep the forum post count up. This conversation, as you can see, is me using me as a way of telling everyone for the first time that Kuma and CA don't exist.

Misterecho exists, sadly. He's not actually a subset of my personality. If he is, it's the part that my sub conscious is too ashamed about to let anyone know. ;-)

The other in joke I enjoy is anything where we make OUR GLORIOUS BENEFACTOR (he who controls the fluid going through the internet tubes) sound ever so impressive. We have built him up to such a ridiculous level that he can't do anything without massive amounts of OGB jokes. Even in private "How's it going" emails, I still harp on about his footfalls lighting the earth with his brilliance. I like that, it makes me laugh.

I think this is about the only way I know how to joke. Well we do have a running gag in our house about when we mis-hear someone we declare it and explore what it would have meant if she really did say "Get the fish together and clear out the algae tanks" (I was up on a roof).

I guess that's really kind of similar so maybe I still have only one way to joke. :(
