Art

Postby Georgedoe » Fri Apr 13, 2012 3:08 pm

Greetings earthlings,

I want to commission some game-related artwork (mainly a logo for rpg blog). Does anyone know where I can look for an artist?

What exactly do you want? I'm not exactly an expert but I dabble. Plus I'd do it for the asking, should it be within my abilities.

Thanks for the offer!

Ideally I would want something that involved a bit of original art. I was thinking of the title "Goblin Labs" and a funny-looking goblin chemist after a lab accident (similar to how Will E Coyote looked after one of his ACME rocket contraptions blew up).

If you want it hyper cartoon-styled I can try it, but my drawing skills are pretty mediocre.

Ah, I wish I had "mediocre" drawing skills. My drawing skills are equal to a blindfolded monkey on crack holding the pencil in its off-hand.

Actually most of my analog stuff looks pretty bad, but I've had some experience with vector stuff.

Now you've lost me completely. Analog? Vector?

I do all my art with a mouse and keyboard.

I've been known to do some artwork. Sometimes commission, sometimes in exchange for some free advertising or traffic diversion to my own gaming blog, it all depends on who the client is and how much they're after.

What do you need?

You can see the kinds of work I do over at my deviantArt page. .

Hi Georgedoe.

For my upcoming game I've commissioned an artist I know from the UK RPG scene called Jenny Wem. She's just finished uni and is now looking for work to beef up her portfolio.

For 'student' please don't read 'amateur': her work's very professional looking. Website is http://www.jennywem.com. She lives in Kent so if you wanted to meet face to face, as you're based in South Herts you could perhaps both meet in London?

Cheers
Leo
