Vance smiled, it was Luke and him inside this little box for the trip home. Clearly this was the prankster gods gift to him as it provided more opportunities for mischief. It would be the last time either one of them would have the opportunity to do anything. Vance looked at Luke, who had who was probably an identical grin on his face as he placed his bag on the ground next to some boxes.

Oh, this was certainly going to be a fun ride.

Totally, besides, I need to play catch up.
I also do which isn't much, but it's enough for me.

Thanks for understanding guys. I'll pick this thread back up on Monday.
The wife and I are in Inuvik, visiting with her aunt. Should be home late tomorrow night.
With Monday being a holiday due to Sunday being Canada Day I should be able to put in the time at
the key board for a good continuation post.

Finally back in gear on this. Thank you for your patience.

"All settled in?" Jacob continued without waiting for a reply, "Al rightly lady and gents, as you already know this is a supply shuttle and our flight plan includes a stop to a dark side relay station . . . the good news is it's unmanned and while we are there for all of thirty minutes feel free to make some long distance calls on the company's dime."

He starts to strap himself in; "after that little scenic stop we will be straight line for earth, which means barring alien abduction we'll be home before the mainliner finishes it's fuel pick up at midway station." once he had secured his straps he looked over his shoulder; "this is a non smoking flight, please keep your seat belts fastened while we are launching or docking . . . in case of an emergency get your helmet on and hold tight . . . this craft has two exits the one you entered in and the cargo port through the door at the rear of the cabin. If you have any questions please keep them to yourself as it's time to go."

Turning in his seat he hits a couple of switches while talking into his head set. The kick of the electro-mag launcher is uncomfortable but quickly passes as the shuttle rapidly pulls free from the moon's surface before the engines come on line. You feel a slight tug as the shuttle cuts a curve through space following the moonscape before nearly pulling free of the lunar gravity well. Checking his course he clicks a few more switches before killing the engines; "Saves fuel to just let her coast on the edge. The more fuel the better kick to earth we have when we turn that way." He comments over his shoulder while making a few more adjustments. "If you want to monkey around in really low gravity . . . unhook your belts and have at 'er"

With that he flicks one final switch pulls his belt latch free and bounces out of his seat to feather float halfway through the cabin; mimicking the back stroke the whole time. Touching the floor he pushes with his hands and sails towards the ceiling, "It'll be about two hours before we get to Darkside station so relax and enjoy yourselves."

The rest of the trip to the Darkside Station was un eventful, as Jacob realising no one was up for goofing in low-grav returned to his seat and stuck to his job as a pilot. With only a couple minor thruster based adjustments the relay station was soon visible in the shuttle main window.

"This station is completely automated. Sun by an AI named KEETON . . . I have no idea what that stands for, but it's go a pleasant enough personality." Jacob spoke without looking as he flipped switches and made adjustments to the controls. "We'll be docking in a few moments . . . please keep your helmets ahndy and your seat belts fastened."

A few jolts and bumps later; Jacobs unstraps and gets to his feet. "Welcome to Darkside Station." he comments as he moves to the rear of the shuttle and keys in unlock code for the cargo door. Patrice and Smith quickly get out of their seats and make for the back cargo bay.

"Welcome to Darkside Station" the voice was obviously computerized, but pleasant . . . "Warning! Airlock seal FAILURE! Warning!"

Barrera and Mapp grab their helmets just as the shuttle suddenly and violently moves forward as the cargo bay suffers expolsive decompression. The shuttle pitches forward and starts to tumble as KEETON's voice repeats over the shuttle and suit comm . . . "Warning! Eplosive Decompression Detected! Warning! "

Barrera and Mapp manage to find a way to wedge themsleves in preventing them from being tossed about the cabin, but they watch in horror as Patrice is barely able to get her helmet on before smashing face fist into a seat back. Shards of visor spin in the low gravity as Patrice gasps for breath . . . there is no sign of Smith or the pilot Jacob . . .

I did no check flips for the PC's . . . You guys obviously have to survive the intial incident or there would be no game.
The NPC's of Patrice, Smith and StPierre, I decided to give a chance (ie UNmoded CHECK FLIPS) to see if you'd have some help. 2 CHECK FLIPS; 1st to see if they could get their helmets on and the 2nd to see if they could wedge themselves and prevent damage while the shuttle tumbled.

Results: 1st Flip
StPierre = 3T . . . Perfect Failure. Lost in the Decompression.
Smith = 3T . . . Perfect Failure. Lost in the Decompression.
Patrice = 2H & 1T . . . Success. She gets her helmet on.

Results: 2nd Flip
Patrice = 3T . . . Perfect Failure. Visor gets smashed in the tumble.

Alex panics, struggling to get his helmet on in time. Fortunately all the practice he went through to get certified for EVAs pays off and the helmet snaps on. Alex quickly remembers his duffel bag, he can't loose it! He grabs it and holds on tight as he can.

Since this bag means so much to Alex, he's going to do everything he can to hold on. He's only got 3 PEP but I'm going to spend one on him hanging onto the bag. Now the bag was secured to the wall with velcro straps. That may or may not keep him in the shuttle.

It's instinct for someone who enjoys the work in space, when you heard the alarm you snapped on the helmet and held on for dear life. This was the first time that Vance had to go through it, but the motions were automatic, they drilled it into you before they let you anywhere near a vacuum. He held on and hoped that once the decompression was over, he could figure out what to do.

Yeah, here I don't know if I'm spending anything. He doesn't really have anything right now that he feels that he needs to spend it on to keep. It's just himself from getting tossed out into space.
I also do which isn't much, but it's enough for me.

Alex out of sheer force of will clamps his hands down on the velcro straps right at the hitch point,
effectively locking them closed, and out of everything that is shifting loose during the tumble he is
amazed at the lack of movement by the small rivets holding the straps to the hull . . .

Vance makes a wild grab for a seat back but misses, the tumble starts to pull him backwards with in
easy reach of a shoulder strap on one of the passenger seats. Grabbing hold he still feels the push
of the escaping air but holds steady . . .

Both watch as the limp form of Patrice gets pushed towards the back door . . . suddenly the tumble stops,
warning lights flash and blink and the shuttle's frame shudders as the gyro-stabilization system kicks in
firing off various thrusters to halt the tumble. It takes a minute or so but eventually the spin of the shuttle
stops.

With all movement ended everthing that came loose drifts free, including the body of Patrice. From inside
the shuttle you have no real bearing on which way the station is, or what is around you. But currently you've
stopped moving.

Alex -1 PEP / -0 MAP / -2 AR
Vance -0 PEP / -0 MAP / -2 AR

AR reduction is double due to both characters depicting actions requiring Physical Effort.
- AR reduction will return to Normal rate if no Physical actions are made this turn.

Flip Checks:
Onix spent 1 of Alex's PEP, and got a PERFECT SUCCESS Result.
No Complications, The Bag and it's contents are safe and undamaged.

Koipond spent none of Vance's points, and Got a SUCCESS Result.
Minor Complication, Vance was pushed back towards the cargo door.

"Alex, you okay." Vance shouts through the comm system. He hopes that they're working at least, otherwise this was going to be a lot tougher than it needed to be. Failing everything, now that things had become stable, Vance waves with one hand while still unconsciously gripping the strap that saved his life. He hoped that was enough to get Alex's attention.

Again, I figure we'll play for a bit until you let us know we need to spend things.
I also do which isn't much, but it's enough for me.
