Gone In 60 Seconds... the Prequel

Postby NeverDie » Mon Nov 22, 2004 1:07 pm

Well apparently due to the success of National Treasure, Nic Cage is in talks to do a prequel to 60 seconds. Basically you would see the events that would lead Cage to leaving the city. Should be interesting considering that in order to do a prequel it helps if everyone involved in the story was able to look younger...

Crappy movie. Do we really want a sequel? (Except to see more Angelina Jolie?)

Tell it like it is!

So, wha quality movie are on the horizon. This seems like it was a good spring and summer for movie watchers- what do I get to look forward to?

Oh... and if any of you are fans of Asian horror flicks... while I was in malaysia last week I saw a movie called Shutter. It is a movie about a couple haunted by a vengeful ghost- they key (and best creepy parts) are the added element that the male lead is a photographer and his pictures start to pick up little background flickers- that end up being tell-tale remanants of the ghost. Pretty good if you like the original Japanese version of the Ring.

Ju-on (the Grudge) the Asian version isn't near as good as the American version... surprisingly. They are great to compare to one another though.

I just watched The Eye the other day. It's another Jap horror movie. The premise on this one is that a girl receives a corneal transplant and she starts seeing ghosts as a result. It wasn't too bad. The big movie I'm looking forward to right now is the screen adaptation of The Phantom Of The Opera. I'm not too keen on the casting, but the trailers look really good.

Keet, Jeremy, that other Lee kid (whashisname? 8) ), Wayne... all awol. I am glad a few of you are still around- this is my link to people that I know back in the states. All this mindless banter has actually been a godsend for my sanity.

The Eye, huh? I'll check that one out.

Alexander is tanking by all reports. Is it that bad?

Yeah, ever since Jamie and I found out we were going to have a baby I've been going downhill but in a good way :D

Thanks to everyone who's still posting. The site itself is actually seeing more traffic than ever before. We've landed some top positions on some of the search engines (try searching for "" on Yahoo and you'll see what I mean). I'll see what I can do to get more people to be responsive in the forum.
