October 22-28 What Did You Play?

Postby Onix » Wed Oct 24, 2012 9:10 am

Little late throwing this up. I figure that since we didn't hit the weekend yet most games won't have happened yet.

Once again, what games did you play this week? Give us a rundown of the story, system, player antics, anything you found enjoyable and share them in this thread.

Bonus point question: What day did you play this week and is that your usual?

On Saturday I'll be running a cross between a story and debate involving a bunch of people establishing a new space colony and arguing about what type of government it should have, as well as other livability and property factors.
Games of imagination are never truly done. Yet tomorrow we shall start another one.

my new RPG blog.

 Continued from .

We had the second session yesterday (second for me, that is), a fourth and final player joined us, he's new to WoD and he's playing a not too original Gangrel viking character.

So, Machiavelli, who's sorta a mentor to all of us Malkavian PCs, told us that there was a small group of "chupacabras", basically rabid Sabbat vampires loose in town. And we had to find and neutralize them. Okay. The city was in full Mardi Gras swing, so we decided that it'd be good to wear costumes, a) to blend with the crowd and b) to catch some fun after (if) we deal with those bad bloodsuckers. Machiavelli provided us with some Renaissance garb, so next thing we know is that we are riding a taxi to the museum where those evil vamps were spotted. We found them, we finished them off (with major help from a mysterious Nosferatu with lots of battle scars). One of the chupacabras went into torpor, but, like, there was only half of him left (the upper half of the body), so my character packed the remains into a blanket and rode to the Prince's place where they could do something with it (like, revive and interrogate). Oh, and at their hiding place we found some proof that they were literally shipped here to cause mayhem, so it was not just some random appareance.

My character told the Prince everything, the Prince frenzied, so my character fled the room (Prince = Brujah who looks like the KFC dude) and went back to Machiavelli. My therapist was calling me all the time, so we made an appointment and I asked Machiavelli to come along and help me out (to "convince" my therapist that everything is FINE). He agreed, but surely he will ask for a favor later.

Meanwhile, the new Gangrel character, who accidentaly got a security guard job at a place owned by the Prince; on the way back home he stumbled upon a mysterious slasher-killer type person (turns out, before I joined, the other two characters have met this dude as well, but escaped) who just committed a horrible murder in a house. The killer guy wanted to get rid of the witness, but the Gangrel was stronger and killed him. Then ran away. Oh, and before that he managed to drink a girl half-dry, so he might expect some problems further on.

MEANWHILE, the rest of the Malks decided that it was party time and spent the rest of the night at the carneval. Turns out one of them used to be a professional dancer, so he amazed everybody with his mad skills.

That's our World of Darkness in a nutshell.
An operating table is now an altar.

More Dead... and Back for us. The found the giant underground robot and (without realising that's what it was) - turned it on! It's now stomping its way towards the centre of town. Powered by alien technology, it's a sort of all-terrain base. The players don't know where it is going or why but it is forcing them out of their comfort zone, which is hilarious.

More lameness on my part. We were preparing for hurricane Sandy, which didn't really reach us. My porch leaked a little from the heavy rain, and I patched it.
