7. Return to working on = Survive

• Get Sci-Fi Beta Kappa out there, and playtest Where The Heart Is loads more.
• Play some FATE, Savage Worlds and Cortex.
• Garner some solid GMing experience- build up a range of scenarios that can be whipped out as and when.
• Attend Furnace (a UK con that regularly tops the polls) and Origins.
• Finally get to play Mouse Guard and Jaws.
• Find all the cylinders on my blog and get it firing on them.
• Do more reading around RPGs and roleplaying in general. There are some interesting articles and columns out there. •Clone myself so I can follow all the forums I'm on (though I guess each clone would have to have their own laptop- ok, not such a good idea).
• Try to ensure I don't have all the same resolutions next year as this one.

Bit late to the party but better late than... etc

1) Stop buying games I will never play. Yes, they are cheap. Mostly for a reason...
2) Find more time for being with my friends.
3) Get off my ass and get a job in Saudi or Australia (I drive trains in England. I would rather drive trains somewhere else)
4) Finish an RPG. I have started so many projects and they lie scattered like reminders of my failure on various hard drives. Finish one! One! (whacks self with rolled up newspaper)
5) Try not to make said game a clone/house ruled version of an existing one. For instance D&D. How many more variant/house ruled simulacrum are required? i suspect none, and that probably goes for 5e, but that's a discussion for another time...
6) Get out on motorbike more. Depends on weather. Please don't rain as much, Britain.
7) Go on Holiday. Only problem is, holidays feel like work, and I'm glad to get home and go back to work. 24/7 with a 9 and 2 year old boy is... taxing.
8) Keep losing that weight off my belly. 8lb since mid december (1 month so far) despite xmas and all that entails. I've come to the sad conclusion that my life with cheese and bread is over if I want to look less like a space hopper smuggler.
9) Exercise! I'm up to 50 press ups at a time, just need to do more sets a day. And weights. Probably jogging or cycling too. Dammit. Just thinking about it makes me want to sag into a chair and reach for a tinny. Crack! Fizzz... ahhh.
10) Better time management of the various games I run and play in. That requires I spend less time on certain time sapping computer games (Knights of Honor, you know what I'm saying...) and scouring ebay for cheap rpg books or what the wife refers to as 'more loft insulation'. She has a point. there's boxes of stuff up there...

Is it too late to get in on this? Bah, whatever...

1. update Terribly Beautiful to a third version
2. stop talking about Terribly Beautiful in the hopes that people will forget about it
3. finish my qualifying exams for my PhD before the end of the year so that...
4. get back to designing the sort of games I love and am not afraid to talk about (e.g. Metropole Luxury Coffin, possibly v2)
