I only got to work on it for 4 hours (roughly), so it's pretty rough. But I think there's some real meat to the mechanics (both in resolution and character creation).
it uses conflict resolution, and it's set up so you can have things like mutual kills (rare, but possible) or mutual whiffs (also rare), whether you're talking about social or physical conflicts.
