Got a free game? Get it reviewed!

Postby Rob Lang » Mon Dec 29, 2008 4:22 am

You've made a great game. You love it to bits. It's been a labour of love. You've uploaded it to the repository. Some people have posted about it but you're not sure if anyone is actually going to read it.

I will.

If you've got a freely downloadable RPG hosted here or elsewhere, please let me know! If your game needs some more work, I'll give you constructive feedback. If your game is ready for the world to digest then I'll post up the review to , which gets roughly 2000 separate visitors a month.

Just post up the link and I'll have a look.

I'd be happy if you would take a look at my first free RPG effort: The Storytelling Game.

I wouldn't mind some suggestions on "Adventuring Party!"

http://zzarchov.bravehost.com/Adventure.html

I've put up two versions, they are identical rules wise, just different layout. The easy print edition only has graphics for the cover, its meant for printing with someone elses ink to show them the game.

The "Fancy Edition" is there if you want to use the ink to have a permanent copy to keep on your gaming shelf (or if you never intend to print).

I would love your feedback. Both are pdf.

It's on my list, Zzarchov! Might take a little while to get to but I have it in the queue. Thanks for asking!

If Normality made your head hurt and you want to leave it well alone and read something light and fun that proves I can indeed write sane material, could you give a wee nod to The Penguin Harlequinade? It's much easier on the brain and I'm kinda proud of it.

Always interested. Thanks for the link. It might take a while to review because I've got INSTANT BACKLOG from the 24 hour compo.

No rush...Just get back to me when you have the time.

In the meantime I can keep tinkering with the other pages for it...

Please do tinker away. I'll take the most up to date version when I review. Have you checked out my ? I normally use that as a defacto benchmark when reviewing.

Ah! Fascinating read!

When I did write an RPG long enough, I based the organization on that venerable old RPG -- The Traveller Book.
Beautifully organized.

However, my latest stuff is too short for much organization.
