Three good new games in the RPG section

Postby Juicetyger » Sun Apr 11, 2004 1:37 am

Just wanted to let everyone know there are three new submissions from Jeffrey Schecter in the RPG section. I'll be getting into the first one soon, but I can tell you already that the layout and themes look very well done. Check them out when you get a chance.

People think I have got the power cause I've got the monkeys. Nope. I've got the power because I'll let the monkeys loose...

Hey there,

The author here. Thanks for taking an interest in my work! I've currently got one other fully playable game in .pdf format available, by name of . However it is soon to become a true, blue, published game as part of the No Press Anthology, a collection of 8 short games published by the folks at .

Others have let me know that they are working on a Spanish translation of Legends of Middle Earth, as well as a modern adaptation and an adaptation to the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant.

My current project is a game that I'm calling The Modern Magician's Handbook, and is probably best described as magipunk. Think Mage, Witchcraft, Unknown Armies, and maybe Dante's Inferno and a bit of Snowcrash tossed into a blender and set and puree. The core mechanic is a 3d6 rollunder, but the rest of the system is far from GURPS-like. I'll be submitting it to to RPG section here when I'm done. :)

You'll probably be able to find some of my half-formed and abandoned ideas by running a forum search on the Indie Game Design forum at or the Art of Game Design forum at .

I'm available for questions etc. here, at RPG.Net and The Forge, and by email at Jeph88@mindspring.com

Game on,
--Jeff
