This week, I reviewed by our very own Mr Jon Ridd of . I thought it was superb, far and above the normal quality of a free RPG. So did . I Pm'd Mr R to try and find out why and he told me. Now I'd like him TO EXPLAIN HIMSELF on why's he making the rest of us look bad.
Please Jon, if it's ok, I think the chaps would like to hear what you have to say. If not, I'll close off the thread.
I wouldn't say I make anyone look bad and I'm among equals. There's alot wrong with Dog Town from the editing to the obtuse explanations to the charts on dark backgrounds to the criminal creation which is too complex for most people's tastes. Most of the artwork is good, but some of it is just ok. I did spend money on the game on the covers, artwork and borders so it looks somewhat presentable for that reason.
Its was commercial but now its free becaause I don't like running a small hobby business and having the Inland Revenue class me as self employed with a additional full time income which they want to know the ins and outs of. I pay full tax on that income automatically but they were looking to re-evaluate the tax I paid on that income and also wanted to know what savings I had etc. In short it was more hassle than it was worth and since I love rpgs and don't need the money I thought what the hell Cold Blooded Games will go free.

God bless the inland revinue. It makes me swell with pride.
I'm going misty eyed....
Thank you Mr Taxman, and all this time I thought you were a total wa***r. You're on my Chrismas card list now. I'll address it to Mr A Darling, if thats okay?
Thank you Mr Ridd. I'm glad the Beaurocracy of our glorious kingdom has duped you into ditching you publishing empire.
bloody idiots. Not exactly encouraging the small busnisses, who are supposed to be dragging us out of recession.
hey its not any better in America. And this country was founded on small businesses, and kicking out the natives, oh and stick our noses where it doesn't belong...... What was I talking about?
I think in the end that's one of the main issues in the gaming world right now, no one has an economy that allows for another garage game company to start up and help the industry move forward.
just one geeks thoughts
