Bit of a tidy up and Game Chef 2010 forum added

Hi all, I've had a bit of a tidy up of the forums (to make room for whatever project we do next ) and I have also created a brand new . Please pop your Game Chef chat in there.

This is not an autocracy, so please do leave a comment if you love/hate.

We're not a democracy either, we're actually all subjects of the kingdom of OUR GLORIOUS BENEFACTOR!

I propose the term "ormetocracy", the etymology of which is ormeterion - Gr. a military base, or beasts lair, or more generally, a means of rousing or stirring up, or perhaps ormesis - Gr. rapid motion, and kratia - Gr. power, rule, or authority.

An ormetocracy is then authority or governance maintained through the keeping of subjects stirred up or roused, or more simply entertained and not offended, so they do not leave. It is the form of governance of nearly all internet chat and forums, and potentially the form of government in any sci-fi setting in which the difficulty of travel is negligible, so that subjects or citizens are part of any particular society simply because they haven't flown away yet.

Ormetocracy is government through giving people what they want because it is the only way to keep them from going elsewhere.

An excellent term, well considered. We can call ourselves the Ormetocracy. OUR GLORIOUS BENEFACTOR will continue to call us MINIONS.

Keeton Harrington created and owns 1KM1KT and is the super admin. He does a HUGE amount of work behind the scenes to keep the forum up and running. Although he doesn't post a lot, he's absolutely pivotal to the existence of 1km1kt. As he doesn't post very often, he became something of a mystery figure. The best thing to do with mystery figures is invent stories/abilities for them. While doing that, we stumbled upon "OUR GLORIOUS BENEFACTOR" as a way of referring to him.
