That's good thinking, too. I don't do any online gaming any longer. What sounds better:

@Name[PBT]

or

@[PBT]Name

I'm open to either. If you do @[PBT]Name you could even add [clan] or party name after it.

Like it. Clan tags would be perfect because they do not obscure the name.

The "it" was ambiguous. Which one do you like?

@[PBT]name[clan]

or

@name[PBT]

I think @characterName[PBT] is best

Okay; sounds good, sir. That's two votes in favor of that maneuver.

I've just posted a new blog: reflections on the first multiplayer session of PBTRPG.

I'm glad you're still following this through. I think your module/game choice meant you ended up with that sort of game. If it was a more roleplay-esque system and module then you would have got more of that sort of play. For your second run, I'd choose that sort of system.

As for character sheets, perhaps if people used Twitter then the profile could be used for that. Digital character sheets are a problem no-one has really solves yet.

Thanks for the feedback, Rob. A few interesting developments:

First, my daughter is volunteering to do some artwork for me. That's exciting. She's gotten a new tablet (Wacom Cintiq), and she seems excited about it.

Second, the two players split up for a bit as the one healed. The other was able to do some proper roleplaying as he sleuthed out a local crime.

Please remove the numbered outline section headings. It's not a journal paper/thesis/dissertation. An index is enough for reference and the rules should be readable like a simple book. If you were writing a game about academics then it would be fine but for NOIR, I don't think it's suitable.
