Welcome to 1km1kt. Your offer certainly sounds intriguing.

However, converting a table top game to the computer is quite difficult, and chances are - a lot of us are invested in the worlds we have created. Would it be possible to disclose a bit more about what type of game you would like to make, and what genre's are of interest for you.

I would love to see one of my games jump to a new format, but I can't give up work based on a single requested post like this. Do you have a website?

Hi,

I understand the time invested in creating a system, because i created some in the past.
Many CG and programmers are totally strange to RPG world and language, so my role is basically "translating" a system/background for them.
I need a (almost) free system because some writers asked very high shares or they dont understand there are costs to afford, not just in the start-up phase...or they just disappear.
I connect 4-5 professionals and as you can understand, i cant slow down because the writer does want to pay his part, or he claim the 50%...

About the kind of game: would be better to start with a couple of "simple" flash game: you sell it to flashgames websites and get the cash.
Then perhaps would be possible to create a webgame: it needs a staff to create/follow updates, bugs fixing and a forum.
The bigger effort is to create a videogame to download and install on your pc...or to sell it in shops. We have connections with publishers, but it is a very long shot, that needs 1 or 2 years of work.

Many of my contacts are here: http://www.artskillz.net/index.html
We are trying then to get a system, mostly free and to develop it in order then to be able to split the income also with the writer(s) in a second period, if it would be sold with success.

I hope I answered to all of your questions.
Everybody can mail me on rpg.project@inbox.com for my skype contact, or further info.

CU soon

That did help, thank you.

There are a lot of good games on this site, but many are rather old, with the authors out of contact, and I can't give you a game I don't own. Of my games, I tend to focus on setting, but not really meta-plot, so they might be a bit hard to translate into a non-continuous story. I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and recommend one or two of my own creations.

was created for a contest, and hasn't seen much change since then, so I don't have much qualms about allowing others to use it. The setting may be a bit esoteric for your plans, however. Think "James Bond" crossed with "Fiddler on the Roof" with elements of "All Quiet on the Western Front" and steampunk. Each player is cast as a proto-Zionist agent trying to prevent World War One from reaching their colony floating in the atmosphere of Saturn, by sabotaging the war military efforts and equipment of the Allied and Central powers.

As to the system, it is a d6 die pool, with skills changing the target number. Players can spend attribute points to temporarily get a bonus, but don't restore the dice to their pools until they get some down time.

is another oddity. It is centered on last few hours of a group of lost cosmonauts who where the real first people to land on the moon - but never returned. The system is similar, for less complex than the one for Rings of Jerusalem - though time is notably always running against them. There isn't much too the document - it was an experiment on creating a requiring only one sheet of paper. However,it is based on real history, so looking up the spacecraft and other elements of the the can give you more information and assist art direction.

If you like either of these, let me know - I can try to write a story board or short piece of fiction to give some more focus or ideas for the game. I've got a degree in English Literature and creative writing, and writing for games has always been a bit of a dream. (Can't program at all, so never considered it too seriously though.)
Games of imagination are never truly done. Yet tomorrow we shall start another one.

Hi there,

sorry for the delay...PCs tend to be fixed during the summer.

As far as i get from your system we are talking about futuristic, with humans as the only race. No spells, no PSI power or similar.
Sputnik Lost seems to end "bad" for all the characters (until we can review it...), and I guess it could work somehow just as flashgame.
Ring of jerusalem seems to be more interesting, and we can introduce some elements so it's not just a copy of many "space" webgames.

If you dont mind, please send your contact email to rpg.project@inbox.com so we can discuss it better.
Of course, i invite everybody else with an idea or a system to convert in a videogame, to do the same.

Thanks

I am currently in the development of a game which is not quite finished, but the more that I work on and the more I realize that the numbercrunching would work much better as a videogame, and it could potentially work really well as a flash game or something. Here's the link to the website for now, if you want to know more I can attempt to explain some here but a lot of it is in the documents already. It is currently intended to be very realistic and have simultaneous movement, with a lot of customizeation in character creation. I want it to be a universal engine eventually, but it currently is just a fantasy game. I'll be working a lot on the setting this month which could help a lot.

Welcome swimbackdanman, I think this thread is probably a little dead.

May recommend you start a new thread about your game, starting off with your concept.
