Many thanks all, I'm glad you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I have uploaded a slightly newer version on my website and will be updating that one. When it's gone through enough of a change, I will send it over for PDF-ing.

The StickPirate button in my sig is now a link to it.

I also enjoyed reading the other submissions. I particularly liked the use of the word Stick throughout!

Congrats Rob. I really dug StickPirate (though I will say that StickColumbia is also very near and dear to my heart if only how it showcases the versatility that a rules-lite game like StickGuy can allow).

I was a bit disappointed by the # of submissions. I had about 5 other people say they were more than 1/2 done with a setting and that they would make the final submit daye- but never come through. Keet and I thought for a short time about lengthening the due date- but that would have plainly been unfair to the people that did put in the time and effor tto get their stuff in on time. So, we went with what we got- and in all honesty, I am quite happy with the results.

Give me 5 good settings rather than 15 half-assed ones any day.

...and StickPirate was the best on a great lot.

First let me say that StickPirate rocks and I can definitely see why it won. As far as my own SuperStick!, ugh... I submitted it as HTML and it apparently got converted to a really crappy PDF (no offense, but the justified text hurts my eyes to look at it now).

Maybe it's just the xpdf viewer I'm using... whew.

Okay, yeah, it looks much better in Acrobat. That's a relief. I was going to offer to convert it to PDF myself, but apparently xpdf just sucks (the formatting was all off and the bold tags had vanished). No problem, then.

StickPirate was obviously a lot more work than I put into mine. And I'm jealous of Rob's l33t StickArt illustration skills.

:P

Kiz... nice to have you aboard.

If you ever have a problem with stuff like presentation of your material or whatnot, we'll be happy to adjust it to your specifications. We try to make 1km1kt as author friendly as possible- and if that involves doing some technical changes- no problem.

Thanks Kiz!

I did all the art in Flash, so it was really easy to do. I then just saved as JPG and then sorted out the sizing with Photoshop.

I liked all the other entries too. It's nice that we've got a community going here now.

I'm excited about the community aspect as well. It's cool to be able to check these boards every now and then and see what's going on with you guys.

As for the StickGuy contest, when we judged the entries we did it based on the original submission. They were converted to .pdf afterwards to standardize them and make them accessible to everyone.

We had a good run with the StickGuy contest and I think it would be cool to have another. Since Rob so graciousy donated his winnings to further the website (thanks Rob :D ), we could even offer up another cash prize! Maybe we could do something to spruce up the artwork selection on the front page...

Any thoughts?

Sorry about that Vicki! You're actually the second person to bring this up in the last few days.

The contest results are located at :

I've added a link to the StickGuy main page and to the contest page

Thanks for the heads up,
