I guess everyone and their dog have read Dyson Logos' wonderful blog . Although it's mostly maps nowadays, there once was a time when he rolled up characters for all the RPGs he owns.
I like that idea, so I thought I'd be doing that to all of your free games. You know, you always see these links in people's signatures and think to yourself "Ah, yes, that one, I should probably head over there and comment on his/her blog". But I never do, so this is my attempt to make amends.
Beware though. I'm no game designer. I'm not going to analyse your games and give you valuable feedback (because I can't). I'm just going to print out your character sheet and make a character in your game. Any comments I'll make will be that of one who hasn't played a lot of RPGs, but I guess there's a market for that too!
At least, maybe you can get a kick out of it seeing your sheet in here?
EDIT: If you don't want me to publish your character sheet, just PM me and I'll remove it ASAP.
Coming up: "...why do he have 'for fuck's sake' in the title of the PDF??'

Not that it would be at the top of your list but don't do Steampunkfitters yet. It needs a better character sheet and I'd like to see this attempted once I had a proper sheet done.
Thank You! This is a wonderful idea, and I'm honored that you chose to look at my game first.
One quick suggestion - It would be helpful if you could point out how quickly you made the character, and if there was any notable difficulty in creating one.
To answer the first query, it is labeled the FFS edition, since the last time the game was edited before 2011 was 2006, and I got prodded into doing this one with a lot of people asking (well, mostly just Mr. Lang) asking, "when is it going to be done FFS?" This was mostly meant to be an in-joke and a reminder there were still a lot of revisions to be made (such as the missing spots on the character sheet) but I never quite got around to that in 2011. Also, its kind of a major departure from the old version so the numbers got restarted. It would be v3 technically, but its really different from the old 20 page v1 that is still on 1km1kt.net...
Seven isn't Olympic class for the derived stats, just the main attributes. Aside from animus, the rest are 2-14. (Animus starts at 4 minimum so no one starts crippled.)
I'm glad you like the speed track. I'm always a little worried that the description of how to fill it in is a little hard to follow, but haven't really come up with anything that is far more clear.
There are two sheets to a page to save paper, and emphasize that characters are more or less disposable - generally, there isn't a way to heal during the game session, just spend AP afterwards.
I was considering a character generator with drop downs that calculates everything for you, but a combined character sheet/cheat sheet hand out would probably serve everyone better. A soon to be finished new edition will add a way to get AP at character creation - if you help the GM and write up additional NPCs/give the character dependents. There are some new questions for the characters as well, so a bit more space will be needed for notes anyway.
In this case, it was rather fortunate there were two character sheets, since this exposed an odd feature of system and how it is balanced. I will discuss that in a new thread though.
If you've got anything else to say, let me know, the deadline for the next version is fast approaching.
Games of imagination are never truly done. Yet tomorrow we shall start another one.
