So are you more dangerous to them or they to you? Guess that depends on skill.

I've always been a little skeptical about brain hacking. I can see hacking the computer that the brain is linked to but I wonder how fast a brain could be overwritten and to what extent. On the one hand we think and react to our surroundings so that's pretty fast, can our memories be overwritten that quickly?

I've always seen "brain hacking" as a more direct form of "brain washing".
You can condition someone's responses and memories by the direct application of
external stimulus (ie pain or pleasure.) Now move from having to do this through the
subject's body, to directly into their neo-cortex.

Pain & Pleasure are conditioned responses to chemically generated electrical reactions
between neurons. Now add a direct link to this system say via a "data-jack" and someone with
the right skill could theoretically rewire your responses from getting pleasure while eating
chocolate, to extreme pain, and even allergic reaction to the same.

or at least that's how I see it . . .

I'll admit it..the responses to this have made my ego happy....so I will continue it. so far the rough character creation outline is doing well, I have so far 5 Part X choices, 5 part y choices and I'm starting on desided the y choices...there not fully finished but I have discriptions and what each choice gives out (without system componets). once Y is done I may post what I have, so as I build the game you monkeys can make and use charcters along the way (open ended alpha testing any one ;) )

I know the final character creation will be in the bend of how Cyber-Gen does it, though an interactive story. the player/character has fallen into a "Noob trap" and interactive programe that stops the New Spyder and walks them through there enterence into the hackers world. " your not in trouble noob, we just want to make sure your safe and so are we! After all competition make this fun, but death is a pain! One dumb ass and they come A hunting, GOT IT!!!!!!!!!111111oneoneone"
