Prometheus the Film

Postby DOC_Agren » Sun Jun 10, 2012 8:29 pm

Saw it tonight, this could be a ICAR game...
Image
Small crew 17
landing party include 1 guy who was to be Security. Rest were the "colony techs, ships crew, and a Human Resourse" and a humanoid Automaton.

So has anyone else seen this?

RIGHT! I saw this at the weekend and my goodness does it look like the kind of thing I'd run in Icar. Perhaps with a less world-shattering plot line but with similar ideas. The crew/craft is certainly very interesting - although it would make for a large number of NPCs. The David character would make a splendid NPC. In fact, any android would in that case.

The ship is pretty cool, although I think Hollywood has gone into the realms of over-the-top detail and complexity in things. There are just too many moving parts where they are not needed. Particularly on the feet of the landing thrusters.

Of course, if this was an Icar game, everyone would be armed to the teeth.

Thanks for the post DOC! Love it.

I am not sure what the most useful sort of blue print is for roleplaying on spacecraft.

I've had the same problem. I've seen plenty of deck plans, but I'm never satisfied when I sit down to make them myself. Maybe if I some how got the deck plans of a WW II sub and melded it with deck plans of the international space station. . .
