Keeton

People think I have got the power cause I've got the monkeys. Nope. I've got the power because I'll let the monkeys loose...

Finally! Yay Keeton!

To recap (renumbered to adjust for the #26 debacle):

1. We use a D8
2. You want to roll high.
3. If you roll 1, something really terrible happens.
4. If you roll an 8, something really terrible happens
5. Everything you want to do (action or skill) has two numbers associated with it.
6. The numbers are decided upon by rolling a D8 six times.
7. You average the 6 rolls of the D8s.
8. Something only really good or really bad happens if you roll 1's or 8's on all the dice rolled.
9. If an 8 is rolled at all, it counts as a mere 1.
10. 1's have no numerical value at all.
11. There are 12 stats.
12. If you roll 4 or more dice and they all come up the same number (excepet 1s or 8s) then you did that action exceptionally well.
13. The first Stat is Brains and measures how good the character is at thinking.
14. The second stat is "Brawn" and measures your physical strength.
15. The third stat is "Stealth", which represents your ability to evade notice.
16. The fourth stat is Willpower and represents your ability to shrug off damage as well as stay focused on difficult tasks.
17. Fifth stat is "Looks" and shows how attractive you are in general (to either sex).
18. The Sixth stat is "charm." It represents your ability to get people to believe you.
19. ESP. This stats measures an unearthly psionic ability.
20. The 8th stat is "reaction" and measures how quickly and deftly a character can physically react to stimuli.
21 The 9th Stat is tolerance and measures the character's tolerance to different things.
22. the 10th stat is 'aptitude', which gauges how well you detect other people's lies.
23. The 11th stat is Logic which represents the ability to solve complex problems.
24. The twelveth and final stat is "providence" and measures a character's ability to do something when everything else fails. Think of it as a bit of luck mixed with sheer determination
25. If you roll a 1, it counts as a 9.
26. There are seven races for your character.
27. Whenever a character rolls a 1 or an 8, they increase the stat associated with the action by 1, learning from their mistake.
28. The player decides what the Target number (difficulty) for their actions is. In other words, when they roll to see if they succeed at a given task, they decide before the roll what number they have to beat in order to be successful.
29. Social status is determined by one's ability to compete in the sacred seven races.
30. The first sacred race involves the successful use of a character's Brains and Logic.
31. The third sacred race involves the use of Stealth and Willpower.

Which actually should bring us to...

32. The outcome of the fifth sacred race depends upon the character's successful use of their Looks and Charm.
"That's the reason they're called lessons," the Gryphon remarked,
"because they lessen from day to day."
