Podcasts

Have any of you attempted a podcast before? Is there any program or hosting site you would recommend? I don't really feel like setting up another blog and the required schedule - but if I can press a button and just rant at the screen, I might finally get around to doing some more game reviews or sharing various thoughts on design with an audience beyond these forums.
Games of imagination are never truly done. Yet tomorrow we shall start another one.

my new RPG blog.

I did one, wordpress just stores it as a file and I have a link to it. I suppose there's probably a mod that would put a play bar in but it wasn't needed for my purposes.

Harder than storing and hosting is the recording process. It's difficult to record without getting ambient noise. It's also a bit hard to find your 'voice' while recording yourself. Most podcasts do best when there's a sort of conversation going on between two people.

Video blog I would recommend just putting it up on Youtube because it's free and easily accessible.

If you're doing an audio blog I don't know of a place that will do that other than iTunes. You can set it up to just submit and they will publish it as far as I can tell.

Software for doing audio stuff the poison of choice is Audacity. It's free and it lets you do pretty much everything you need to do to make some good stuff.
I also do which isn't much, but it's enough for me.
