so after seeing something about the top 10 texture mod for minecraft, I thought what the hell its a low rez game....maybe I'll try it. its like $25-$30 forgot what the conversion was. I can get old school games on GOG.com for $5. How can one pay that and not feel ripped off...ok time to try piracy, YAR!
Time Fly's like an arrow! Fruit Fly's like a banana!
It's a "Sandbox" game that really never ends, and depending on which version you are getting (PC vs Xbox vs Mobile) things are different and the play is always interesting.
The PC version is by far the more exploratory, allowing for texture packs and mods (including things like Zelda, Pokemon, and Hexit.), not to mention the various mini-game set-ups (ie Skyblock)
I've spent more time on the xbox version than the PC version, and in the xbox version I have created blimps, air ships, Galleons, bunkers, churches, automated harvester gardens, mazes, a trailer home.
It's one of those games that once you start getting into it you get into it. Kinda like how I am with a similar game called Terraria, which has minecraft like parts (ie mining, crafting) but is a little more adveture/rpg then minecraft.
Check out Realms of Lore (RoL) at the RPGLabratory. (Rules) (1st Adventure) (2nd Adventure) (3rd Adventure)
It's a much more complete game now, with a lot more things added to it. I can't play those kind of perspective games, they make me nauseous, but if you can it's still worth the money.
I also do which isn't much, but it's enough for me.
