[Here Be Giants] A solitaire skirmish wargame

I... might have gone slightly mad? But that's alright? Okay, so after looking at , I had a revelation... well, a weird game idea came to me in a flash. So I sat down and designed a wargame.

It is called Here Be Giants,
and you can read it over at google docs:



It is a "solitaire skirmish wargame", where you are the giant and a team of hunters are trying to get rid of you. Basically this game totally blurs the border between "game" and "reality".

I'm quite happy with how it turned out. It started out as a gimmick, but then it actually became a game that can be played!

Please, take a look and comment on it, if you have any opinions, recommendations or ideas! It's more or less a final version, completely playable, with art (by me...) and typesetting.

P.S.: I realize now that there are some rather fuzzy moments, e.g. the "Special" units (Vehicles/Monsters) should be made more specific. Still. I'm proud of this weird little piece.

My wife thought your pictures were amazing.

At first I thought "How the heck is this supposed to work?" but it seems pretty solid. I'm not sure i'll be playing it anytime soon but I could actually see my son playing it.

Could be fun. I think it can even be used as the basis for a rpg.
