Response for the Barquest! Iron Game Review.

Oh,absolutely the durn thing was unfinished. I had this whole plan to emphasize Companions as a thing where if you work with another player you get bonuses to gambling and picking up women, or if there are two musicians, they get bonuses. I just could not get it all down. I'm currently working on it.

You're whole comment about the card-game opportunities? Yep, I knew about that. That's where the event tiles originally came in: They were to be played as Event CARDS that you played to provide gain for yourself and cause trouble for the others. Like someone's about to succeed in the mission of getting laid and you through a "Significant SO walks in looking for you" Card. I just couldn't work out the rules in time.

The Barkeep will end up dropping out as the technical Gamemaster; There will always have to be a Barkeep in play, but he will just be another player who has a different set of goals as he controls the employees.

"Invincible" was going to play a major part originally in that it was going to be an Event tile you could play on yourself that erased damage or gave you extra strength during a bar fight. Again, I got hung up and the whole list of possible event Cards got shortened. There should be about 25 Good" and 25 "Bad" Event cards mixed together and each player gets three or four at the start of the game.

I was trying to find a way to keep the rounds short enough that no one gets bored, but still accomplishes everything they want to. I'm...still working on that.

The floor tiles were pretty cool, but my scanner broke and I'm getting a new one. I'll add more to this thread later when it copmes in.

I am enthusiastic about getting this into print. Great review. Happy with my participation in the Iron Game Chef and I'm looking forward to next year.

If anyone has anything else they'd like to add or criticize or just point out, let me know here.

Thanks Doug. Let me know if I can do anything for you.

Great review. I am very
