Hi guys, good to see some familiar faces again! (And also good to see new ones!)

Personal lessons learned from last year:

- Being a pioneer is cool, but that doesn't excuse anyone from the need for solid game design. Assuming you want to (a) win, or (b) have people play your game.

- Don't include a rule because it looks neat. All rules should make a sginificant contribution to gameplay - be ruthless in eradicating rules that don't pull their weight. I was particularly guilty of not following this rule with my last submission.

- What's the game about? What do the characters do? What do the players do? Always have these three questions in mind.

- Be realistic about what you can take on (Iron Game Reviewer, I'm looking at you!)

- Most of all, HAVE FUN.

So ... does presentation matter or does it not matter? Seems silly to say it doesn't if it really does.
