Well I'm once again back in the fray. My entry last year was Beneath the High Pillow, which has sadly suffered under the auspice of little or no work since then. But I won't get into that here, or my numerous problems with it.

I work in retail as a warehouse manager by day and can be found doing any of the following by night:

- Exploring the world of Beer and Spirit
- Watching great movies, at least most of them are great
- Reading trippy scifi
- Designing games

Well, I'm a 18yo finnish student. I'm an author-to-be and a wannabe-columnist. I'm also currently designing a RPG called Ewelonia, which sets place in a fantasy world of the same name. And conventionally, our fantasy trilogy is about this world. :D

I'm also a huuge horror otaku, and I've read almost every Lovecraft that I have found.

Hi, I'm a returnee from last year.

I love Game Chef, becasue it's an amazing spur for creativity. I know that I'd never have come up with the crazy ideas I get for games if it wasn't for the 'nudge' from outside that the competition gives me.

And there is some awesome stuff coming out from my competitors already. I was gobsmacked when I logged on to the site this morning and starting reading everyone's pitches.

I'm here to chew bubblegum and win the Game Chef prize. And I'm all out of gum.

I'm trying to participate, but I've got nothin'. We'll see, I guess, since I've got a week, but even a dinner with Mischa (two above) didn't inspire me enough to pick a direction. I think I might just have to wait until next year. We'll see, and I'll watch with eager eyes the whole time anyway.

I'm Jessica, and I'm actually writing this post from an entirely separate 24-hour game development competition. Professionally speaking, I'm a card/board/RPG/computer game designer and a consultant on game design, as well as a grad student studying games and role-playing. Yes, it's a good life, although right now I've been doing game development for nineteen hours straight and I am TIRED.

This is my first time doing Game Chef, and among other things I'm curious how many other female designers are cooking up some role-playing this week . . . .

I'm Yari, female and interested in playing around with ideas and making an RPG in a week. We'll see how it goes though, I've posted 3 of many ideas on here already, one of which is based on dreams. It will probably be what I go with. And I would just like to take the time to say that Shehee has a spectacular idea, he just has to keep it going.

Hi, I'm Gordon, a Retail Monkey. This is my first time doing the Game Chef thing... probably because I didn't know about it last year... And I'm currently being distracted by England losing to India at Cricket :(

Jack Carr, recent transplant from SF, California to Portland, Oregon. Just started a new job this week, can't complain since I was unemployed from being laid off, but, heck, complaining is fun. The job is retail (I hate), and the Iron Chef had to happen the same week.

But RL trials is a big part of this competition. All the competitors have one or more.

I've been a long time lurker about the Iron Chef Game phenomenom, each year always catching me off-guard and too late to join in. Every year! Not this year though, I'm in it for certain. Now I just have to figure out which of my two ideas I want to flesh out, as well as giving better replies on threads than "Yeah, I agree with that guy, great idea!" I have been truly amazed by all the entries.
