Hi, I'm Michael Mendoza, college junior. Luckily for me this contest happened over spring break. I entered what I think was the first Iron Chef contest way back when with "Horus." It's still on my site, IIRC at
Hi, Rune Valle here.

I'm Jonathan. I'm 23 yo. I'm currently in Raleigh, NC, but I'm about to head down to Tampa to teach Chinese for 2 months. I've lived in China for a total of 3 years. I have milked more than one alpaca. I've been on a freighter ship during a typhoon. I cannot eat anything with almond flavoring, due to an unfortunate experience.
I'm currently finishing up final edits to my first published product, Push, a progressive roleplaying journal. I intentionally write games for non-traditional audiences and try to support new styles of play. My game design blog is .
Ian, 29 yo, philosophy grad student living in Chapel Hill NC area. I discovered the competition a little late, but couldn't resist jumping on board for the fun!
I was on a bit last weekend with great hopes then picked up the flu without having trained anyone to run the new machine at work. So work and sleep was my week. I got back to it yesterday and finished around 10:00 tonight. Not a game to be proud of yet but exactly where I hoped to be a week ago.
Better things to come.
This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit. naw that would be stoopid
This is the second year that I've entered. Last year I think the only post I made before the contest finished was on the introductions thread. This year I didn't even manage that.
I did post some feedback, though, and obviously will be doing so again this year.
I am Matt Cowens. High School teacher and bloke. In New Zealand.
I have a beard and long hair. I wonder how many of the entrants are bearded this year?
Once, in an English exam I was supervising, I kept myself amused for a whole 10 minutes by wandering around counting the number of students with sideburns. Out of about 120 boys, only 9 had sideburns. I may have reinvented those statistics as my memory is not the best.
Now that I think about it, did I post exactly the same anecdote last year...?
