Thanks for the suggestion!

Unfortunately, I've spent the better part of three years already tweaking a "finished" version! Like you say, though, it'll always take more tweaking with more eyes looking at it.

 !!

While I have taken what I feel to be a huge amount of time and text explaining how every nook of the system works, there will undoubtedly be gaps. That doesn't even take into account the amateurish layout of the compiled file, either.

Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Sounds great.
Don't worry about how it looks on initial presentation.
If it's worked well in 3 years of game play then how it looks is secondary.
It can always be polished up later when you've got time.
As long as it reads well it should be fine.
Feel free to rummage through my stuff.......but remember, you get what you pay for!

I'm with Bal on the presentation point. As long as the game is nice and solid (not too many holes) then the presentation is just icing.

Another good idea is to play the damn game! I found that after 5 years or so of GMing, I'd get one of the players to fire off a one-shot adventure type thing. Just to see how they worked it. It went really well and I go a chance to see it from a player's position. He also found some things that he needed to know as a GM that wasn't explained very well. Well worth a try.

Hey I'm new to the site so far but I'm liking what I see so far. I've thought the game chefs and 24 hour contests were a good idea and any place you can find people willing to give your game a going over is a bonus.

By the way Rob, who does your artwork for Icar? The only other person I've seen that is doing 3d were the guys at Zaon but they can be @#%&$ about things.

Lets see, I've been playing RPGs since the second or third year of high school - 8 years ago now. Let me say congratulations to all of you who have been playing since the 80s or before - I was only born in 83 so I find that quite impressive.

I've played Rifts, Shadowrun, Mechwarior, AD&D, Orpheus, Vampire, BESM, and Star Wars. My collection consists of 15-20 published rpgs and 1.2 GB of free ones on my computer (about 230-300 games at last count...) not including another 5-6 hundred MB of war games. I've got the start of about 10 different games in my journals or partially type up. Unfortunately there is a sever lack of players around here, and those who are here are either busy or set in what they play - so I've never gotten a chance to use a lot of this stuff. (For example, I have the Twilight-2000 reprint, the complete Robotech RPG, Heavy Gear and D-20 modern, none of which have been played.)

Still, I'm ever eternally hopeful that one of these days I will actually read and play most of this stuff.
