But have you ever played a role-playing game before?
The reason I ask is only because the games in question here have fairly simple rules and you seem to have a problem grasping them.
Don't worry, though. I remember my head reeling with the first couple of games books I read when I was young.

Perhaps you'd do better to seek out a game suited to a beginner and also to read a bit online about what role-playing is all about...
I'm sure if you seach for that using Google and whatnot it would be easily found.
As far as a game suited to an absolute beginner, if that is indeed what you are (I admit, I'm only assuming) I would suggest a very rules-lite game such as Risus.
Honestly finding a very good game geared to the absolute beginner is not very easy.
There are a lot of very, very good games here and almost all of them are very light and easy on the rules, but while at the same time they are made under the assumption that the user has some pre-existing experience with role-playing. Therefore, the rules mainly give you the mechanics stripped down to the minimum of what you'd need but don't do a lot of hand-holding or an in-depth explaination of the concepts and hows and whys or role-playing.
Can anyone here actually suggest something that would be suitable? Something rules-lite and introductory as well? (I would suggest the I.C.E. Lord of the Rings game from the '90s but it's out of print and wouldn't be available to NXK anyway).
So, something (preferably free) that's available online.
Rules-lite I can find/think of, very well made I can find/think of. But something that's also "introductory"???
Also, can anyone suggest a good article or site that would easily explain general ideas of role-playing to a beginner? (that is, if that's even what NXKiller needs)
