I have to admit that "Mean Girls" was pretty damn funny. I am suprised that I liked it. I also thought "Day After Tomorrow" was pretty good but thought the beginning was like every other movie about the end of the world.
I got to see some movies this week wile in Kuala Lumpur. Specifically, i saw Day After Tomorrow and Troy.
I liked Troy better than Day... but Becky, wy wife, had the exact opposite opinion. We both thought the pacing for Day... was really off. It felt as we watched that only a few days passed... or in the case of some scenes it seemed only like hours. However, for off-handed remarks throughout the movie and standard logic we figure that the movie was about a week or two in length.
Spoliers...
The trek to NYC was especially poorly paced... it felt like a day or two total but it should have taken about a week or so.
I just looked up Clerks: Sell Out, cause I hadn't heard of it and well, who didn't like Clerks.
According to Greg's preview at Yahoo Movies, it doesn't sound like Kevin Smith knows what he wants to do with this film - it could be direct to DVD or a series of animated shorts.
