Use of Ingredients & Limits spreadsheet

Postby PlotDevice » Tue May 31, 2005 10:30 pm

If anyone is interested, I put this spreadsheet together

it is in csv so should open in any spreadsheet program if you want to play with it.

Rock on, thanks for doing this!

Dumb question: What appliactions work with .csv?
EDIT: NM, Excel or other spreadsheet programs work well.

Informative

Postby nyarly » Wed Jun 01, 2005 3:06 pm

Wow, that's pretty cool.

I was a little dismayed to find that Worker's Paradise only got listed for 3 ingredients and 1 limit. I suppose that Invincible was used very lightly, but Accuser was fairly core to the theme. Plus, 3 pieces of information per die roll was the basis of the mechanical design.

Did you disagree? I'm honestly a little wobbly on what qualifies as using the ingredients, so this is one area in which I crave feedback.
Pssst... lemme tell you about Repertoire - oh, merde, that's my cue.

Updated to include Revolution and and I modified the entry for Worker's Paradise. Same Link.

I did my best to identify all the components, and did so in limited time. So word search and skim reading were key elements in my strategy, rather that a proper read through. If I have missed out some components, please let me know.

I have re-skimmed Worker's Paradise, and agree with your assessment, Invincible is non core, but I can see its relevance, I am surprised I missed Accuser, and the three peices of info per role are identifiable on closer examination. My bad. :)

Warm regards,
Evan

I did note that you missed/skipped 'hand gestures' for The Last Supper. Borderline case - it's not precisely hand gestures, but all the in-game triggers are things like drinking a sip of wine, raising the cup for a toast, or anointing someone's brow with a few drops. Not that the difference between four constraints and five is all that relevant, but I figured this hit the gesture rule pretty well.

I didn't notice any other omissions but of course I'm less attuned to them in the case of other peoples' games.

Point taken. I'll pay that. Updated for that too.

As mentioned, happy to update. :)

Oh, I'll throw one in. I used Accusers as in the husband accusing the wife, and SOs accusing the spouses and concept of accusing someone of cheating/stealing/lying....

I also had designer-made cards and pregens.

Paid and updated. Minor quibble since rules are provided for making own character, but is a 'you gave extra! Should not have! Argh, that is silly. No penalty' comment.

Have I mentioned my bad eye for detail in this forum yet? Now I have...
