Announcing Segira

Postby kylesgames » Sun Aug 27, 2017 8:36 pm

I guess I've already kind of done this, but I'm announcing Segira again here.

It's my upcoming game, which is a modern-ish military action game that takes heavy cues from Shadowrun and Degenesis while maintaining an original, fast, and flexible system. Set in the year 1985 after the Cold War spirals into yet another proxy war, the Eastern European country of Segira is the centerpiece of this action-packed roleplaying game.

Take on the role of an invader or a patriot and fight for a better future, to save your home, to crush your enemies, and to survive.

The core mechanic is an XkY d6 system with successes on 5 or 6 (with 6's being worth more successes). Combat is based on fast, lethal mechanics intended to deter wanton violence and encourage clever tactics, and there is an emphasis on resource management and decision-making rather than pure combat. High-level characters may find themselves wielding powerful battlesuits or armored vehicles.

TL;DR: Anachronistic 1985 Cold Warriors
Coming September to... probably DriveThruRPG. It will be totally free under my Tabletop Attribution License.
