Any fans of The Face in the Frost?

I read this book as a kid, I think because it was in the list of "inspirational literature" in the back of one of the early D&D books, and I just re-read it. Really delightful mix of lighthearted fantasy and kid-friendly horror. I love how it mixes the real world -- Catholicism, Occult, etc. -- with fantasy. There are the fictional North and South Kingdoms, but then England and Scotland are nearby too. The way magic is portrayed is vaguely reminiscent of D&D but more eccentric and open ended. The scene in which Prospero is trying to figure out how to destroy a bridge using Tarot cards could be the inspiration for a whole magic system, or at least a new "college" of Tarot magic.

Any other fans?
